Cool and Calm: Pitta-Balancing Granola Recipe

Are you a Pitta dosha looking for a delicious and soothing breakfast option to help you stay balanced during the summer heat? Look no further! This homemade granola recipe is not only perfect for cooling down your fiery Pitta energy, but it's also packed with nourishing ingredients like goji berries, centauree petals, and date paste for a natural touch of sweetness.

What is Pitta Dosha?

In Ayurveda, Pitta dosha is associated with fire and water elements. People with a predominant Pitta constitution are typically characterized by their strong digestion, warm body temperature, and sharp intellect. However, during the summer or when out of balance, Pittas can experience overheating, irritability, and inflammation. Balancing Pitta involves incorporating cooling, sweet, and calming foods into your diet.

The Benefits of Goji Berries, Centauree Petals, Date Paste, and Puffed Quinoa

  • Goji Berries: These vibrant red berries are not only a powerhouse of antioxidants but also have cooling properties that help balance Pitta dosha. They add a delightful chewiness and a slight sweetness to the granola.

  • Centauree Petals: Known for their calming effects, centauree petals bring a subtle floral note to the granola. They are also great for supporting digestion and reducing inflammation.

  • Date Paste: A natural sweetener, date paste provides the perfect amount of sweetness without spiking your blood sugar levels. It's rich in essential minerals and fibers, making it a healthier alternative to refined sugars.

  • Puffed Quinoa: Adds a light, crispy texture to the granola while being a great source of protein and essential amino acids, helping to keep you full and satisfied.
